Our Story....
The Evangelical Church was born on June 4, 1968, in Portland Oregon. The church was started with a commitment to the core beliefs that: The Bible is the Word of God. Jesus Christ is the only pathway to God, truth, and eternal life.
People can be transformed by Jesus to love God with all their heart and their neighbor as their self. God mobilizes followers of Jesus to spread His kingdom among all people.
Based upon these core beliefs The Evangelical Church today is committed to fulfilling God’s mission by spreading His kingdom on earth through making disciples of all people across cultural, ethnic, and/or national boundaries.
The Dalles Evangelical Church, a congregation in The Dalles, offers members - and visitors - a chance to become part of something greater. To grow in their love of God and for one another within our beautiful community.
We are rooted in the stories of the Bible and believe worship is something that can be expressed in everything we do. Our beliefs are founded on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
